RAMALLAH, October 16, 2026 (WAFA) — Four Palestinians were injured on Friday after Israeli colonists attacked residents harvesting olives near the village of Burqa, east of Ramallah.
Local sources reported that the colonists assaulted the olive pickers, beating four Palestinians and injuring them.
The attacks come amid a wider escalation of violence by state-backed Israeli colonist militias against Palestinian farmers during the olive harvest season.
The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reported that 136 of the 219 attacks recorded by Israeli forces and colonists between October 1 and 12 were linked to the olive harvest, including assaults on pickers, obstruction of access to farmland, and the theft or destruction of olive crops and trees.
