RAMALLAH, October 15, 2026 (WAFA) – The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) on Thursday documented 21 attacks carried out by Israeli occupation forces and colonists against Palestinian farmers and their lands in just 12 hours (6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.).
According to the CWRC, the attacks were recorded in the governorates of Nablus, Ramallah and al-Bireh, Hebron, Jerusalem, Jenin and Salfit. They included 13 incidents carried out by colonists, some under the protection of occupation forces, and eight incidents carried out by the occupation forces. The attacks ranged from physical assaults, detention and arrest to forcing farmers to leave their lands, stealing crops and uprooting trees.
Nablus governorate recorded the highest number, with 12 incidents. Colonists, under army protection, attacked farmers in Yasid and prevented them from continuing to harvest olives. Meanwhile, occupation forces raided the village council and threatened to ban olive picking without a permit, despite most of the lands are classified as Area A.
Colonist attacks also targeted the village of Asira al-Qibliya, south of Nablus, as well as Khirbet al-Marajim, Qaryut, Jalud, Surra, Burin, Asira al-Shamaliya and Duma. The attacks included forcing farmers to leave their lands, pursuing them, and stealing their crops.
Occupation forces also assaulted a farmer in Beit Furik and threw his harvested olives onto the ground. They further forced farmers to leave their lands in the al-Ashar area, as well as in the Ras al-Deir and al-Naqqara areas in Yatma.
In Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, colonists attacked olive pickers with stones and clubs in the al-Hadab area of Burqa village. They also assaulted a farmer, inflicting deep wounds on his body before detaining him.
In Kafr Malik, occupation forces razed large tracts of land and uprooted hundreds of olive trees.
In Hebron governorate, colonists, under army protection, assaulted farmers and forced them to leave their lands in Masafer Yatta. They also prevented farmers from reaching their lands in Khallat Ghanim in the town of Surif. This came as Israeli army bulldozers levelled land and uprooted old olive trees in the village of Sikka, Dura area, and Beit Ula.
In Beit I'nan town of Jerusalem governorate, occupation forces denied farmers access to their lands in the al-Khunaidiq area, arrested a young man and seized a vehicle.
In Jenin, the occupation army fired tear gas canisters and prevented farmers from harvesting olives near the settlement of Tarsala. Meanwhile, in Deir Ballut, in Salfit governorate, colonists forced a farmer to leave his land and detained a young man at the site.
The CWRC noted that colonist attacks and measures imposed by the occupation army are turning the olive harvest season into a means of pressuring farmers and driving them away from their lands, threatening their livelihoods and paving the way for the expansion of colonial control over Palestinian land.
