BAKU, October 15, 2026 (WAFA) — Representatives of more than 10 countries, including Türkiye, walked out of the summit of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) in Azerbaijan as Israeli President Isaac Herzog began delivering his speech on Thursday.

The delegations began leaving the hall in the Azerbaijani capital, Baku, as Herzog took the floor in the afternoon.

Since October 2023, Israeli occupation forces have carried out a genocide in the Gaza Strip, killing tens of thousands of Palestinians and destroying civilian infrastructure, drawing widespread condemnation and public outrage across much of the world.

CICA brings together 28 member states around a common platform for dialogue. Its members account for approximately 90% of Asia’s land area and more than half of the world’s population.
