JERUSALEM, October 15, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli forces banned on Thursday Palestinian residents of Beit Anan, northwest of Jerusalem, from harvesting olives.

Israeli forces barred residents from reaching their owned-land in the al-Khunaidiq area of Beit Anan and harvesting their olives, according to the Jerusalem Governorate,

In the latest figures, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission recorded 19 colonist attacks targeting olive harvesters, farmers and their property on October 9. The attacks included setting a vehicle on fire, uprooting more than 50 olive trees in Qusra, south of Nablus, attacking olive harvesters in several West Bank villages, and opening fire and injuring a farmer in Salfit Governorate.

The commission also reported that attacks carried out  by Israeli forces and colonists on agricultural crops during August 2026 affected 21,508 trees, including 19,375 olive trees, highlighting the scale of damage to the agricultural sector and Palestinian farmers’ livelihoods.

Israeli attacks and restrictions impede farmers’ access to their land or prevent them from harvesting their crops, threatening their sources of income and inflicting substantial economic losses.
