GAZA, October 14, 2026 (WAFA) – Three Palestinians were killed and others, including a woman, were injured on Wednesday evening in Israeli shelling and gunfire across the Gaza Strip, bringing the number of Palestinians killed in the Strip since dawn on Wednesday to five.
Two Palestinians were killed, and a woman was injured on Wednesday in an Israeli shelling of a vehicle in the town of Al-Qarara, north of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip, according to WAFA correspondent.
WAFA correspondent said an Israeli occupation drone targeted the vehicle in Al-Qarara, setting it ablaze and killing Ahmad Raja Al-Shaer and Basel Nabil Qeshta, who were inside, while a woman was injured.
Earlier, Saddam Rami Al-Za'anin was killed and others were injured by Israeli occupation forces' fire in Jabalia refugee camp in the northern Gaza Strip.
Meanwhile, Israeli artillery positioned south of Khan Yunis shelled western areas of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, while Israeli occupation forces carried out demolition-related explosions east of Gaza City and Khan Yunis.
Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since 7 October 2023, killing 74,392 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 175,440 others. It has destroyed 90% of the Strip’s infrastructure, with the cost of Gaza reconstruction estimated at $70 billion.
Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement went into effect on October 11, 2025, Israel has killed 1,501 Palestinians and injured 5,323 others. The bodies of 838 slain Palestinians have been recovered during the same period.
Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.
The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
