Palestinian sustains injury in colonist attack south of Hebron

HEBRON, October 14, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian sustained an injury on Wednesday due to an attack by Israeli colonists in Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, according to an activist.

Osama Makhamreh said that colonists attacked Palestinians in Khirbet Quwaweis, one of the communities making up Masafer Yatta, injuring an elderly.

The casualty, who sustained bruises, was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

Makhamreh added that the assailants smashed the doors of a dwelling, surveillance cameras, and other property before Israeli occupation forces raided the area and arrested the homeowner whose home had been vandalized.

Meanwhile, in the areas of Ighziwiya and Wadi Ma’in, east of Yatta, colonists attacked land belonging to the Abu Toufah and al-Jabareen families and stole large quantities of olives. They broke into an agricultural room and stole its contents, including agricultural tools and equipment.

Residents of Khirbet Aqawawis and surrounding areas continue to face persistent colonist attacks, which have escalated significantly in recent weeks following the establishment of a new colonial outpost around four months ago. The outpost is located only a few dozen meters from Palestinians’ dwellings.
