Colonists assault three Palestinians southeast of Bethlehem

BETHLEHEM, October 14, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday assaulted three Palestinians in the Abu Najim area, southeast of Bethlehem, according to WAFA correspondent.

He reported that colonists raided the area and beat three Palestinians, requiring one of them to be transferred to hospital for treatment.

The Abu Najim area is repeatedly subjected to colonist attacks, including assaults on residents, their homes, and property, amid an escalation in colonist attacks in the eastern and southeastern areas of the Bethlehem governorate.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
