CWRC documents 14 attacks against Palestinian farmers in one day

RAMALLAH, October 12, 2026 (WAFA) — The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) documented 14 attacks against Palestinian farmers and their property on Monday between 6 AM and 6 PM in the governorates of Ramallah and al-Bireh, Salfit, Nablus and Hebron.

The CWRC said that Israeli occupation forces committed 10 attacks, colonists committed three others, and they jointly committed the other. The attacks included assaulting olive pickers, forcing them to leave their lands, detaining them, stealing crops and agricultural equipment, damaging property, and uprooting trees.

In the Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, eight attacks were recorded. In Turmus Ayya town, the occupation forces denied farmers access to their lands. Colonists attacked a young man while picking olives, requiring his hospitalization. They forced farmers to leave their lands in Burqa and Kafr Malik, as well as in the areas of Abu Safa, Shaab al-Rakhm and Abu Sharif in Deir Dibwan. They vandalized a farmer's car in the Wadi al-Qattan area of the town.

In the Salfit governorate, the CWRC documented three attacks, including forcing farmers to leave their lands in the al-Khalla area of Yasuf village and stealing a farmer’s harvest and a harvesting machine.  In the western part of Deir Istiya, the occupation forces and colonists jointly attacked farmers, forcing them to leave their lands and stealing olives and agricultural equipment.

In the Nablus governorate, the occupation forces uprooted over 200 decades-old olive trees in the al-Sur area of Luban al-Sharqiya village before their owners could harvest them. The forces also detained several farmers in Wadi al-Shami in Asira al-Qibliya and prevented them from continuing the harvest.

In the Hebron governorate, colonists attacked members of the al-Na'ameen family while they were picking olives in Khirbet Aqawis of Masafer Yatta, attempted to seize their equipment, and prevented them from continuing the harvest.

The CWRC noted that the simultaneous attacks by colonists and measures by Israeli occupation forces increased pressure on farmers, turning work on their land into a daily confrontation that threatens their safety, livelihoods, and continued access to their land.
