NABLUS, October 11, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists attacked farmers today, Sunday, while they were harvesting olives in the area between the towns of Qusra and Jalud, south of Nablus, and stole equipment used for the harvest.
Local sources told WAFA that a group of colonists attacked the farmers while they were working on their agricultural lands and seized equipment they were using for the olive harvest season.
This attack comes amidst escalating colonists' assaults on Palestinian farmers at the start of the olive harvest season—attacks that include physical violence, denial of access to agricultural land, theft of crops and equipment, and the vandalism of trees.
On October 9, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported documenting 19 colonists' attacks in the West Bank since the morning of that day. These attacks targeted olive harvesters, farmers, and their property, and included the uprooting of over 50 olive trees in the town of Qusra and assaults on harvesters in several Palestinian villages.
The Nablus Governorate recorded 900 colonists' attacks during the first half of 2026, according to data from the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission. Additionally, tree-felling and vandalism affected 6,015 trees in the governorate during the same period—part of a total of 45,195 trees damaged across the West Bank, including 26,395 olive trees.
