Colonists attack olive harvesters north of Ramallah as 19 attacks reported across West Bank

RAMALLAH, October 9, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists on Friday attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the village of Deir al-Sudan, north of Ramallah, stealing their harvest and forcing them to leave their agricultural lands.

Local sources reported that colonists accompanied by dogs and protected by Israeli forces attacked olive harvesters on the outskirts of the village, stole their produce and forced them to leave their lands, warning them not to return.

Meantime, the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission reported 19 colonist attacks across the occupied West Bank since Friday morning. The attacks included assaults on olive harvesters, the burning of trees, theft of crops and livestock, and attacks on Palestinians and their vehicles.

In a statement, the commission said the attacks included the burning of a vehicle during an assault on farmers in Tell; the uprooting of more than 50 olive trees in Qusra; and attacks on olive harvesters in Jurish, Beita, al-Naqoura, Birzeit, Deir Ibzi', and Fara'ata. Live ammunition was fired in Deir Ballut, and a farmer was injured in Kafr al-Dik.

The commission added that an elderly woman was injured in Birin, east of Hebron, after colonists set dogs on farmers. Sheep were stolen in Ein Qiniya, while a Palestinian man and his child were assaulted and their vehicle stolen in Yabrud. Attacks on vehicles were also reported in Surda and the al-Reihan neighborhood in Ramallah province.
