SALFIT, October 1, 2026 (WAFA) — Palestinian man Mashhour Shaher Yassin, 51, was killed today after being shot by Israeli colonists during their attack on the village of Yasuf, in the central West Bank district of Salfit.

Salfit Governmental Hospital Director Mohammad Al-Ramahi said Yassin succumbed to injuries sustained during the colonists' attack on the town.

Earlier today, colonists from Havat Anton attacked the Al-Nasba area east of Yasuf, while Israeli occupation forces opened live fire, injuring two Palestinians, one in the abdomen and the other with a live-ammunition fragment to the flank. Several Palestinians were also detained during the attack.

Israeli occupation forces also blocked an ambulance vehicle in the village, seized its key and threw it away, obstructing the work of medical crews and preventing them from carrying out their duties.
