GAZA, August 25, 2026 (WAFA) — Medical sources in the Gaza Strip said on Sunday that the death toll from Israel’s ongoing aggression on the Strip has risen to 73,431 Palestinians killed and 174,437 injured since October 7, 2023.
They said Gaza hospitals received nine fatalities over the past 24 hours.
Since the ceasefire that took effect on October 11, 2025, the number of Palestinians killed has risen to 1,296, while 4,296 others have been injured. A total of 813 bodies have also been recovered.
Health authorities reported that a number of victims remain trapped under the rubble and on the roads, as ambulance and rescue teams continue to face difficulties reaching and recovering them.
