CAIRO, August 20, 2026 (WAFA) — Egypt, Qatar and Türkiye on Thursday condemned the latest Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the killing and injury of a number of Palestinians, including women and children.

In a joint statement, the three countries said the escalation of Israeli attacks undermines regional and international efforts at a critical stage, as intensive efforts are underway to implement the comprehensive plan to end the war in Gaza.

They stressed the need for Israel to fully comply with all its obligations under the ceasefire agreement and refrain from any actions that could undermine the agreement or lead to an escalation of tensions.

The three countries renewed their call on the international community to take steps to ensure compliance with the ceasefire in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2803 and to exert effective pressure to prevent any further escalation.
