RAMALLAH, August 20, 2026 (WAFA) — Five Palestinians were injured on Thursday after Israeli colonists attacked a vehicle traveling between the villages of Al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah, northeast of Ramallah.
Deputy head of the Al-Mughayyir village council Marzouq Abu Naim told WAFA that a group of colonists infiltrated the Marj Sia Plain area between Al-Mughayyir and Abu Falah and attacked a vehicle, causing it to overturn. The colonists then assaulted the passengers.
The injured were subsequently taken to a nearby medical center for treatment.
The villages and towns northeast of Ramallah have been subjected to repeated colonist attacks, alongside daily Israeli military incursions in the area.
According to the Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission, colonists carried out 798 attacks across the occupied West Bank in July. Nablus recorded 228 attacks, Hebron recorded 212, while Ramallah and Al-Bireh recorded 153. The number of colonist attacks since the beginning of the year has reached 4,286.
The attacks in July resulted in the killing of seven Palestinians in Nablus and Ramallah governorates. Colonists also carried out 440 acts of property vandalism and land leveling, 67 seizures and thefts of Palestinian property, and uprooted, damaged or poisoned 5,027 trees, including 3,241 olive trees, mostly in Hebron, Jenin, Qalqilya, Tubas, and Nablus governorates.
