JENIN, August 16, 2026 (WAFA) — The Israeli occupation army has deployed a number of mobile homes to the former Kadim colony east of Jenin city, in the northern West Bank, in preparation for its imminent reopening, local sources said Sunday.
The sources said that the mobile homes were brought to the site as preparations are underway for colonists to return to the colony, with their return expected on Wednesday, August 19.
Kadim was evacuated in 2005 as part of Israel's unilateral disengagement plan, along with several other colonies in the northern West Bank.
The developments come amid escalating Israeli measures in Jenin governorate, including colonial expansion, road closures, attacks by colonists and restrictions on Palestinians' movement and access to their agricultural land.
