TUBAS, August 11, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Tuesday vandalized the main water supply line of the Ras al-Ahmar community, southeast of Tubas, according to a local source.
Abdullah Basharat, head of the Atouf and Ras al-Ahmar Village Council, said that colonists sabotaged the main pipeline supplying drinking and irrigation water to the community, cutting off water to around 30 Palestinian families who depend on livestock and the cultivation of approximately 8,000 dunums of land for livelihood.
For months the Israeli occupation authorities have been razing large tracts of Palestinian-owned land in Atouf and Ras al-Ahmar to make room for the construction of a 22-kilometer-long and 50-meter-wide military road that would connect the Ain Shibli checkpoint, southeast of Tubas, to the Tayasir checkpoint, east of the city.
