JERUSALEM, August 9, 2026 (WAFA) — Dozens of Israeli colonists stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied Jerusalem on Sunday, under the protection of Israeli police.
Local sources reported that 133 colonists broke into the mosque compound through the Moroccan Gate, conducted provocative tours and performed Talmudic rituals in its courtyards.
These incursions into Al-Aqsa Mosque are frequent and are carried out under Israeli police protection, while Palestinians face restrictions on access to the holy site.
