JENIN, August 9, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces seized a Palestinian home in the town of Arraba, south of Jenin, on Sunday and turned it into a military outpost.
Arraba Mayor Ahmad al-Arda told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the home of Hazem Shafee Hammad in the town, forced him to leave, and converted the house into a military outpost. The forces told the family they could return at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
Meanwhile, al-Arda said Israeli forces closed the Arraba station area and the road leading west toward Ya'bad, disrupting Palestinian traffic along one of the main routes connecting Arraba with neighboring areas.
The road closure comes amid Israeli measures targeting land on both sides of the road, raising concerns among citizens about possible land leveling, the uprooting of olive trees and the seizure of large areas of agricultural land.
