HEBRON, August 9, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces opened live fire at a Palestinian shepherd while he was grazing his livestock in the town of Idhna, west of Hebron, on Sunday, killing three sheep and injuring several others.

WAFA correspondent reported that Israeli forces fired randomly at shepherd Mahmoud Abdul Rahman Tmeizeh while he was grazing his flock in the Wadi al-Bayda area, west of Idhna, near the Israeli segregation wall. The shooting resulted in the killing of three sheep and injuries to several others.

The incident comes amid escalating attacks and harassment by Israeli forces and colonists against Palestinian farmers and their livestock in rural areas near Idhna, including attacks on shepherds, their livestock and property, as well as restrictions on access to grazing lands.
