RAMALLAH, August 8, 2026 (WAFA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates strongly condemned the attack targeting a tanker operated by the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) while transiting the Strait of Hormuz.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the ministry affirmed its full solidarity with the sisterly United Arab Emirates, its leadership, government, and people, and expressed its support for the measures the country is taking to protect its security and sovereignty and ensure the safety of maritime navigation.

The ministry also affirmed that targeting commercial vessels and threatening the safety of maritime navigation constitute a blatant violation of international law and a direct threat to the security and safety of maritime routes, with repercussions for regional and international security and stability.

The ministry reiterated the State of Palestine’s full support for the United Arab Emirates and its people, as well as its rejection and condemnation of any attack that could undermine its security, stability, and resources, wishing the UAE continued security, stability, and prosperity.
