RAMALLAH, August 7, 2026 (WAFA) – An international solidarity activist was injured as Israeli colonists attacked the al-Kaabneh Bedouin community near al-Taybeh, east of Ramallah, according to local sources.

They said that colonists drove their sheep into Nayef al-Kaabneh’s house and assaulted inhabitants and international solidarity activists, inflicting bruises on an international solidarity activist’s face and head.

On Thursday evening, colonists launched a violent attack on the community, assaulting members of Nayef Kaabneh's family and injuring three people with varying wounds. Israeli forces subsequently detained one of the family members, identified as Suleiman Kaabneh.

The family has been subjected to daily attacks by armed colonist gangs for nearly three years, with the assaults escalating significantly over the past three months.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
