RAMALLAH, Thursday, August 6, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department said that the weather on Thursday is expected to be partly cloudy to clear and typically summery, with temperatures dropping slightly while remaining a little above their annual average.
Winds will be light to moderate northwesterly to westerly, becoming active at times, while sea waves will be low to moderate.
During the evening and nighttime hours, the weather is expected to be pleasant in the mountainous areas and warm across the rest of the country. Winds will remain moderate northwesterly, occasionally becoming active, with low to moderate sea waves.
On Friday, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to clear and typically summery, with another slight drop in temperatures, bringing them back to around their annual average. Winds will be light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly, becoming active at times, and the sea will remain low to moderate.
Saturday's weather is forecast to remain partly cloudy to clear, with no significant change in temperatures, which are expected to stay around their annual average. Winds will continue to be light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly, occasionally becoming active, while sea waves will remain low to moderate.
On Sunday, conditions are expected to become hot in the mountainous areas and very hot elsewhere. Temperatures are forecast to rise to around two degrees Celsius above their annual average. Winds will be light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly, becoming active at times, and the sea will remain low to moderate.
The Meteorological Department warned the public against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. It also cautioned against lighting fires in areas with dry vegetation and leaving children or elderly people inside closed vehicles.
The department further advised residents to drink plenty of water and fluids.
