JENIN, August 5, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces today detained four Palestinians during separate raids on several towns and villages in the Jenin governorate, and turned a home in the town of al-Silah al-Harithiya, west of Jenin, into a military barracks.
Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces raided the village of Arabuna, east of Jenin city, and detained two young men, Adi Abu Hassan and Ibrahim Abu Hassan, after storming their homes and ransacking their contents.
The sources added that Israeli forces also raided the village of Jalqamus, east of Jenin, and redetained Abdul Basit al-Hajj after raiding his home, less than 30 days after he was released. Al-Hajj had previously spent three and a half years in Israeli prisons.
Israeli forces also detained Mustafa al-Eid after raiding his home in the town of Burqin, west of Jenin, before withdrawing from the area.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces stormed the town of al-Silah al-Harithiya, seized one of the homes and turned it into a military barracks. Residents were informed that they could return to the house the following morning.
