RAMALLAH, August 5, 2026 (WAFA) — The Palestinian Meteorological Department said that the weather today, Wednesday, will be hot in mountainous areas and extremely hot in the rest of the regions.
Temperatures are expected to remain largely unchanged, staying about 3°C above the annual average. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed, occasionally becoming active. Sea waves will be light to moderate.
Tonight, the weather will be mild in mountainous areas and warm in other regions. Winds will be northwesterly, moderate in speed, occasionally becoming active, while sea waves will be moderate.
On Thursday, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to clear and generally normal for summer. Temperatures will drop slightly but remain above their annual average. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally becoming active, with light to moderate sea waves.
On Friday, the weather will remain partly cloudy to clear and typical for summer, with temperatures dropping to around their annual average. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally becoming active, and sea waves will be light to moderate.
On Saturday, partly cloudy to clear summer conditions are expected, with no significant change in temperatures, which will remain around their annual average. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally becoming active, with light to moderate sea waves.
The Meteorological Department warned of the danger of prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, especially during peak hours between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., the risk of fires in areas with dry grass, and leaving children or elderly people inside closed vehicles.
It urged citizens to drink plenty of water and fluids.
