LONDON, August 1, 2026 (WAFA) – British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said on Saturday that the scale of the humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine is unacceptable and cannot be justified.
In a press statement, he said that his government is considering measures regarding Israeli colonies in the occupied West Bank, which will be reviewed and announced at the appropriate time.
Burnham described what is happening in the Gaza Strip as “a scar on our collective conscience”, stressing the need to end the targeting of Palestinian civilians.
He called for increased pressure, additional sanctions, and restrictions on arms exports to Israel.
