GAZA, August 1, 2026 (WAFA) – An Israeli airstrike on Saturday destroyed the medicines and medical supplies warehouse belonging to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah, central Gaza Strip, causing extensive damage to the facility and damaging nearby tents housing displaced families.

Medical sources said Israeli aircraft targeted the hospital’s medical supplies warehouse, destroying it and leaving a large crater at the strike site. The resulting explosion and destruction also displaced dozens of displaced families who had been sheltering in nearby tents.

The sources added that the targeting of the warehouse has further deteriorated the humanitarian and health situation in the Gaza Strip amid severe shortages of medicines and medical supplies, as well as mounting pressure on hospitals operating under extremely difficult conditions due to the ongoing Israeli offensive.

Israeli occupation forces continue their offensive on the Gaza Strip, targeting various areas amid a continued deterioration in humanitarian conditions and ongoing attacks on medical facilities and shelters for displaced people.
