Israeli forces set up military checkpoint at Arraba entrance, disrupting residents' movement

JENIN, July 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces set up a military checkpoint this Wednesday evening at the entrance to the town of Arraba, south of Jenin, disrupting the movement of residents and vehicles, according to local sources.

The sources told WAFA that Israeli soldiers established the checkpoint at the Arraba roundabout, stopped civilian vehicles, checked passengers' identity cards, and searched several cars.

The measures caused traffic congestion and delayed residents from reaching their destinations.

The sources also said that Israeli forces intensified their military presence around the town as part of ongoing military measures across Jenin Governorate, which include setting up military checkpoints and tightening restrictions on residents' movement between the governorate's towns and villages.
