Two Palestinians killed in Israeli strikes on northern and central Gaza

GAZA, July 27, 2026 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians were killed on Monday evening in Israeli strikes targeting the northern and central Gaza Strip, according to medical sources at Al-Shifa Hospital.

They said the body of a slain civilian was brought to the hospital after he was killed in a missile strike by a combat drone strike near the Hira mosque in Jabalia al-Balad, in the northern genocide-stricken Strip.

Meanwhile, medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah reported that the body of a slain civilian arrived at the hospital after being killed in an Israeli strike in the al-Heker area, south of Deir al-Balah.

This brings the total death toll in the Gaza Strip to 73,329, mostly women and children, and the casualties to 174,009 since the onset of the genocidal aggression on the Strip on October 7, 2023.

In the last 24 hours, the bodies of three slain Palestinians and 12 casualties were admitted to Gaza hospitals.

Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement went into effect on October 11, 2025, Israel has killed 1,203 Palestinians and injured 3,900 others.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
