RAMALLAH, July 27, 2026 (WAFA) — Vice President and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Hussein al-Sheikh received the Director of the Office of the People's Republic of China to the State of Palestine, Ambassador Sun Chen, on Monday, on the occasion of his recent assumption of his duties.

Al-Sheikh emphasized the deep historical ties between the State of Palestine and the People's Republic of China, and the strong relations between the two friendly peoples, based on mutual respect and cooperation.

He briefed the Chinese Ambassador on the latest political and security developments, including the escalating colonist attacks in the West Bank, the ongoing aggression against the Gaza Strip, and the continued withholding of Palestinian tax revenues, which has exacerbated the economic and social crisis.

Al-Sheikh stressed the importance of continued coordination and cooperation with China, expressing his appreciation for its supportive stance on the rights of the Palestinian people and its efforts to promote security and stability and achieve a just peace in accordance with international law.
