NABLUS, July 24, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian on Friday evening sustained a shrapnel injury from Israeli military gunfire near the entrance to the village of Surra, southwest of Nablus, according to medical sources.
Director of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society's Ambulance and Emergency Center in Nablus, Emad Ahmad, said ambulance crews treated a 74-year-old man who sustained injuries from live ammunition shrapnel after Israeli occupation soldiers opened fire at his vehicle near the village entrance.
Earlier, dozens of Israeli colonists attacked the western outskirts of the village, assaulting three Palestinians, setting fire to six homes, five vehicles, and a vast tract of land planted with vegetables and fruit trees.
