GENEVA, July 24, 2026 (WAFA) — UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory Francesca Albanese said that “armed Israeli groups are escalating their deadly attacks against unarmed Palestinians in the West Bank,” referring to attacks carried out by colonists against Palestinians.

Albanese called for an immediate halt to the attacks and for those responsible to be held accountable, following the killing of four Palestinians and the injury of others in the village of Tell, west of Nablus.

She said: “They shot five men in cold blood in the village of Tell and Far’ata, and their leaders openly speak about it.”

Albanese’s remarks came after Israeli forces and colonists carried out a horrific attack in the village of Tell that resulted in the killing of four Palestinians and the injury of others amid a broader escalation of violence across the occupied West Bank.
