NABLUS, July 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday forcibly displaced a Palestinian family from its home in Jalud town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a local activist.

Israeli colonists on Wednesday forcibly displaced the family of Mahmoud al-Tubasi from their home in the town of Jalud, south of Nablus, before taking over the property.

Bashar al-Qaryouti said the colonists took over the home of Mahmoud al-Tubasi’s family after kicking them outside following an over-three-month siege, during which colonists assaulted the family every day.

Al-Qaryouti added that the colonists had previously set up the nucleus of a colonial post near the family’s home, which they had set ablaze. Despite this, the family remained determined to stay in their home and endured extremely harsh conditions, including the deprivation of water and food.

He noted the colonists cut off electricity to the house and blocked anyone attempting to deliver food, water, or even medicine to the family, ultimately forcing them to leave before taking over the home.

Colonists’ violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Colonists’ violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, and attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

Approximately 1 million Israeli colonists are living in colonies in the West Bank and East Jerusalem in violation of international law.
