Weather forecast: Hot to very hot conditions to persist through Saturday

 

RAMALLAH, July 22, 2026 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is expected to be hot in mountainous areas and very hot in the rest of the country, with a slight rise in temperatures to become around 4°C above the seasonal average, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Winds are westerly to northwesterly and light to moderate, while sea waves are low.

During the evening and nighttime hours, the weather is expected to be pleasant in mountainous areas and warm elsewhere in the country. Winds will become northwesterly, moderate and occasionally active, while sea waves will range from low to moderate.

Weather on Thursday is expected to be very hot in most areas, with a slight rise in temperatures to become around 5°C above the seasonal average.

Weather on Friday is expected to be hot in mountainous areas and very hot elsewhere, with temperatures dropping slightly to around 3°C above the seasonal average.

No significant change is expected on Saturday, with weather remaining hot in mountainous areas and very hot elsewhere, and temperatures remaining around 3°C above the seasonal average.

The PMD warned against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., lighting fires in areas with dry leaves and grass, and leaving children or elderly people inside closed vehicles. It also urged the public to drink plenty of water and other fluids.
