RAMALLAH, July 21, 2026 (WAFA) - Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh on Tuesday evening held a meeting with the heads of the security services, in the presence of Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa and Assistant to the Supreme Commander of the Security Forces Major General Haj Ismail Jaber, to discuss the latest political and security developments and review the latest developments on the ground.
During the meeting, participants conducted a comprehensive review of political and security developments on the Palestinian scene in light of regional and international developments, discussing their implications for the Palestinian situation, as well as ways to enhance national preparedness, strengthen the rule of law, and preserve security and stability in a manner that protects citizens and reinforces their steadfastness.
The Vice President stressed the importance of continuing coordination and integration among the various official institutions and strengthening joint efforts between the political leadership and the security services to enhance performance efficiency, reinforce security and stability, and confront the challenges facing the Palestinian people during this critical phase.
He also stressed the need to continue working with a strong sense of national responsibility, maintain the highest levels of readiness and discipline, and strengthen public confidence in official institutions. He affirmed that security and stability are essential pillars for protecting the national project and safeguarding the Palestinian people's rights and national constants in the face of the challenges confronting the Palestinian cause.
The heads of the security services also reviewed several priority issues, focusing on enhancing security readiness, strengthening coordination among the various security services, and continuing efforts to protect internal security, preserve civil peace, and provide the best possible services to citizens in accordance with the law.
