Palestinian killed in Israeli strike targeting electric bike in central Gaza

GAZA, Monday, July 20, 2026 (WAFA) – A Palestinian was killed on Monday evening in an Israeli strike targeting an electric bike opposite the Al-Zawaida area in the central Gaza Strip, according to medical sources.

Medical sources at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir al-Balah reported that one fatality arrived at the hospital after an Israeli combat drone struck an electric bike on Salah al-Din Street, the primary north-to-south highway spanning the entire length of the genocide-stricken Strip.

Earlier on Monday, six Palestinians were killed and more than 20 others were injured due to Israeli gunfire and strikes across the Gaza Strip.

Israel has waged a military onslaught on the Strip since 7 October 2023, killing 73,283 Palestinians, mostly women and children, and injuring 173,864 others. It has destroyed 90% of the Strip’s infrastructure, with the cost of Gaza reconstruction estimated at $70 billion.

Since the Gaza ceasefire agreement went into effect on October 11, 2025, Israel has killed 1,158 Palestinians and injured 3,756 others. The bodies of 802 slain Palestinians have been recovered during the same period.

In the last 24 hours, the bodies of three slain Palestinians were admitted to Gaza hospitals along with 22 casualties.

Moreover, at least 10,000 people are unaccounted for, presumed dead under the rubble of their homes throughout the Strip.

The Israeli aggression has also resulted in the forceful displacement of nearly two million people from all over the Gaza Strip, with the vast majority of the displaced forced into the densely crowded southern city of Rafah near the border with Egypt – in what has become Palestine’s largest mass exodus since the 1948 Nakba.
