RAMALLAH, July 20, 2026 (WAFA) – Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh on Monday called upon the international community to act immediately to end Israel’s impunity.

Vice President Al Sheikh made his comments as he extended condolences to the families of Awda Abdul Rahim Awda Farakhna and Ahmad Adel Rashid Abu Mukh from the town of Deir Jarir, east of Ramallah.

Farakhna, 53, and Abu Mukh, 26, were killed after Israeli colonists, accompanied by Israeli occupation forces, attacked the town late Sunday in one of a series of coordinated assaults carried out across the occupied West Bank over the last two days.

Al-Sheikh expressed his deepest sympathies to the families of the two victims and wished those injured in the attack a speedy recovery.

He said the "heinous crime" was a continuation of the policy of organized terrorism perpetrated by the Israeli occupation government against the Palestinian people in flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law.

Al-Sheikh also renewed his call for the international community to act immediately to provide international protection for the Palestinian people, hold the Israeli occupation forces and colonists accountable, and take practical measures to halt their attacks.
