GAZA, July 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Two Palestinians, including a nine-year-old girl, were killed by Israeli army fire in the central Gaza Strip on Sunday, according to medical sources.

WAFA correspondents, citing medical sources, said nine-year-old Tala Juma Abu Matar was shot and killed by Israeli forces in the Tabbet al-Nuwairi area west of the Nuseirat refugee camp.

The same sources said Mahmoud Mohammad Tawfiq Muslih succumbed to wounds he sustained during Israeli gunfire east of the Bureij refugee camp two days earlier.

Yesterday, medical sources in Gaza said the death toll from the Israeli offensive on the enclave had risen to 73,221, with 173,643 people injured since October 7, 2023. They added that since the ceasefire started on October 11 last year, 1,098 people have been killed, 3,535 injured, and 800 bodies recovered.
