RAMALLAH, July 7, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced that its teams participated in the evacuation of patients and their companions for treatment outside the Gaza Strip, in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO), via the Rafah land crossing.
The Society explained that the evacuation included 31 patients and 60 companions, who were gathered at the PRCS's Al-Mawasi field hospital in Khan Younis before being transported and escorted to the crossing point according to the approved humanitarian and logistical arrangements.
The PRCS emphasized that this operation comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to facilitate the evacuation of patients who need to complete their treatment outside the Gaza Strip, given the difficult health conditions and the severe shortage of medical resources.
The PRCS, in cooperation with the WHO, continues to participate in medical evacuations and secure the transport of patients and their companions through the crossings, ensuring their access to specialized medical facilities outside the Gaza Strip.
