JENIN, Tuesday, July 7, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces detained four Palestinians, including a young woman, during a raid on the city of Jenin and housing for displaced families near the Arab American University at dawn on Tuesday.

Local sources said large Israeli military forces stormed the city and raided a residential building near the Martyr Yahya Ayyash Roundabout in central Jenin. They also raided the German Neighborhood, where they detained former prisoner Ghassan al-Atrash, and arrested Thaer Alawneh after raiding his home in the al-Basateen neighborhood. In the Jabal Abu Dhuhair area, the forces detained Mohammad Abahra after storming his home.

The sources added that Israeli forces also raided a residential building housing displaced families from Jenin refugee camp near the Arab American University and detained Basmala Hawashin, the sister of slain Palestinian Mohammad Hawashin.
