RAMALLAH, July 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Vice President Hussein Al Sheikh reviewed on Monday with the Representative of the Russian Federation to Palestine, Ambassador Gocha Buachidze the latest political, security, and economic developments on the Palestinian arena.

Vice President Al Sheikh briefed Ambassador Buachidze on the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian Territory amid the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people and escalation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, as well as its grave humanitarian and political repercussions.

He stressed the urgent need to bring the ongoing Israeli aggression to an end and oblige Israel, the occupying state, to comply with international law and international humanitarian law.

Ambassador Buachidze reiterated the Russian Federation's support for the Palestinian people’s legitimate and inalienable rights, stressing his country's continued backing of efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire, facilitating the delivery of humanitarian aid, and advancing a political solution that would bring security and stability to the region in accordance with international law and UN resolutions.
