HEBRON, Monday, July 6, 2026 (WAFA) – Six Palestinians were injured on Monday after Israeli colonists attacked Palestinian homes and lands in the town of Yatta, south of Hebron.
Anti-settlement activist Osama Makhamra told WAFA that around 30 armed Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, attacked residents' homes in the village of Umm al-Khair in Masafer Yatta after the army closed the village's main entrance.
The assailants physically assaulted local residents, leaving six Palestinians with injuries and bruises. All were treated at the scene.
Makhamra said one of the targeted homes belongs to Salem al-Hathaleen. Israeli occupation forces declared the area surrounding the house a closed military zone for two days and prevented family members from accessing sanitation facilities and the livestock pen, leaving the animals without food.
He added that colonists also cut fencing surrounding agricultural land and severed electricity lines supplying the home of Ayoub al-Masri in the Khallet al-Hummus area, south of Yatta.
