RAMALLAH, July 5, 2026 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas sent a congratulatory message on Sunday to Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on the inauguration of Egypt’s Strategic Command headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.
President Abbas extended his congratulations to President el-Sisi, the Egyptian leadership, the armed forces, and the Egyptian people, describing the new headquarters as a national achievement that reflects Egypt’s progress in developing its institutions and strengthening its national and defense capabilities.
He said the facility embodies President el-Sisi’s vision of building a modern and strong state capable of safeguarding its national security, protecting its stability, and continuing its pivotal role in promoting security and stability at both the Arab and regional levels.
President Abbas also reaffirmed the longstanding ties between Palestine and Egypt, expressing appreciation for Egypt’s continued support for the Palestinian cause under President el-Sisi’s leadership, its backing of the Palestinian people and their legitimate rights, and its efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace in the region.
