RAMALLAH, Thursday, July 2, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) said the weather on Thursday will be hot in mountainous areas and extremely hot in the rest of the country, with a slight drop in temperatures.
Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, becoming active at times. Sea waves will be low.
During the evening and night hours, the weather will be generally clear, with pleasant conditions in the mountainous areas and warm weather elsewhere. Winds will remain northwesterly, light to moderate, while sea waves will stay low.
On Friday, hot weather is expected in the mountainous areas and extremely hot conditions elsewhere, with no significant change in temperatures. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, becoming active at times. Sea waves will remain low.
Similar weather conditions are forecast for Saturday, with hot weather in the mountains and extremely hot weather across the rest of the country. Temperatures are expected to remain unchanged. Winds will be southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, becoming active at times. Sea waves will remain low.
On Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise, with extremely hot weather prevailing across most areas.
The PMD warned the public against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and cautioned against lighting fires in areas with dry vegetation.
