RAMALLAH, June 29, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces stormed Birzeit University north of Ramallah at dawn on Monday and assaulted a security guard.
Security sources told WAFA that the forces, backed by military reinforcements, entered the university campus and beat guard Bashir Za‘loul al-Khatib (40), in addition to raiding the eastern wing of the Faculty of Sports and destroying its contents.
The sources added that such incursions into Birzeit University have become recurrent, involving arrests of students, assaults on staff, and destruction of property belonging to student activities, as well as confiscation of materials and equipment.
