NAZARETH, June 29, 2026 (WAFA) – A man in his 30s was shot dead on Monday morning after being targeted in a shooting in the town of Yafa an-Naseriyyeh, near Nazareth.

Palestinian communities in the 1948 territories witnessed a renewed wave of violent crime over the past 24 hours, during which six people were killed in separate shooting incidents and vehicle bombings across several locations.

With the killing in Yafa an-Naseriyyeh, the death toll from homicide in the 1948 territories since the beginning of the year has risen to 136, amid a continued escalation in organized crime and violence.

The ongoing surge in violence has drawn criticism over what is described as the failure of authorities to take effective measures to curb the phenomenon.
