JERUSALEM, June 26, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists began leveling Palestinian land in the town of Mekhmas, north of occupied Jerusalem, on Friday, in preparation for establishing a new colonial outpost.
According to the Jerusalem Governorate, colonists started bulldozing land in the Al-Hayy area of Mekhmas as part of ongoing efforts to expand colonial settlement in the area.
The move comes amid repeated attacks by colonists against Palestinian residents on the outskirts of the town, in attempts to forcibly displace them, seize their land, establish additional colonial projects, and impose new facts on the ground.
