Journalist among two Palestinians injured in assault by Israeli forces in northern Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY, June 25, 2026 (WAFA) – Two Palestinian men, including a journalist, sustained bruises on Thursday after being assaulted by Israeli forces in the northern Jordan Valley, northeast of the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said its crews received two injured Palestinians from Israeli forces in the Ras al-Ahmar area. One of the injured was identified as journalist Moath Ghannam. Both were transferred to a hospital for treatment.

According to local sources, Israeli forces had earlier detained the two men while they were covering ongoing land-leveling operations being carried out by Israeli occupation authorities in the area.

Earlier in the day, Israeli colonists, under the protection of Israeli forces, assaulted and detained a number of solidarity activists, journalists, and local residents in Ras al-Ahmar.

The incidents brought the total number of injuries reported in the area on Thursday to three, including journalist Ghannam.
