GAZA, June 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Medical sources in the Gaza Strip announced on Tuesday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Strip has risen to 73,008, with 173,260 others injured since October 7, 2023.

The sources reported that hospitals across the Gaza Strip received five new fatalities and eight injured persons over the past 24 hours.

They added that since the ceasefire that took effect on October 11 last year, the number of Palestinians killed has reached 997, while injuries have risen to 3,152. Meanwhile, the bodies of 784 victims have been recovered from under the rubble and other locations.

The sources noted that a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble and in the streets, as ambulance and rescue crews continue to face difficulties reaching them.
