RAMALLAH, June 9, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) said Tuesday that weather conditions will be generally clear, with relatively hot temperatures in mountainous areas and hot conditions across the rest of the country.
Temperatures are expected to rise slightly, while winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate in speed. Sea waves will remain low.
During the evening and nighttime hours, conditions will remain generally clear and pleasant in most areas, with light to moderate northwesterly winds and slight sea waves.
On Wednesday, the weather is forecast to be generally clear, dry, and hot in mountainous regions, becoming very hot elsewhere. Temperatures are expected to rise further, while winds will remain light and northwesterly.
Thursday will see a slight drop in temperatures, with generally clear and dry weather continuing. Conditions will remain relatively hot in mountainous areas and hot elsewhere, accompanied by light to moderate southwesterly to northwesterly winds.
On Friday, no significant change in temperatures is expected. The weather will remain generally clear and dry, with relatively hot conditions in mountainous regions and hot weather across the rest of the country.
The PMD warned residents against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and cautioned against lighting fires in areas with dense dry vegetation due to the heightened risk of wildfires.
