Weather: Temperatures to continue rising through Thursday

RAMALLAH, June 2, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast that relatively hot to hot weather conditions will continue across Palestine over the coming days, with temperatures expected to rise steadily through Thursday before declining on Friday.

The department said that Tuesday's weather will be partly cloudy to clear, relatively hot in mountainous areas and hot elsewhere, with another increase in temperatures. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, occasionally becoming active, while sea waves will be light to moderate.

During the evening and nighttime hours, conditions will be partly cloudy to clear, relatively cool in mountainous regions and mild elsewhere. Northwesterly winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally becoming active.

A slight increase in temperatures is expected to continue on Wednesday, with partly cloudy to clear skies and relatively hot to hot conditions across the country. Winds will be northwesterly and light to moderate.

The weather on Thursday is expected to be generally clear and hot in most areas, accompanied by another slight rise in temperatures and light to moderate northwesterly winds.

Temperatures are forecast to drop on Friday, although conditions will remain relatively hot in mountainous areas and hot elsewhere. Winds will be westerly to northwesterly, light to moderate, and occasionally active.

The PMD warned residents against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly between 11:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., and urged the public to avoid lighting fires in areas with abundant dry vegetation.
